Come find out what your friends are talking about!  The concert series kicked off in August with a crowd of more than 600 folks listening to fantastic music under the stars!  The FM2FV Concert Series features regional acts playing a variety of music in a family-friendly atmosphere.


The Stone Age Romeos will headline the second Follow Me 2 Fuquay-Varina concert on Thursday, September 18 from 6-9 pm.  Coolers are not allowed but Aviator and Draft Line Breweries, Adam’s Vineyard, Anna’s Pizza and other food vendors will be onsite to provide food and drinks for a fee.  Mimi the Clown will entertain the kids for free!


Bring a lawn chair or blanket for this outdoor venue!  Please leave animals comfortably at home.  Find out more!

South Park

The second annual Out of Darkness Fuquay-Varina Community Walk will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at South Park on the Jeff Wells Environmental Greenway in Fuquay-Varina from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. with registration beginning at 1:00 p.m. Proceeds raised from the walk will go towards the North Carolina state chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). The inaugural event held last September included over 100 walkers and raised over $14,000.

If you are concerned about the quality of local water, tired of seeing trash washed up after every storm, or just want to make your community a healthier, more beautiful place, then this is your chance. Through the national Big Sweep Campaign EVERYONE is invited to help clean up our streams, wetlands, ponds, and lakes. Groups will be given the materials they need and then fan out across the Fuquay area to clean sweep targeted waterways.

The Town of Fuquay-Varina is proud to partner with Stars Theater & Arts Center to provide some great Community Theater for this fall.


The first theater production will be Almost, Maine, a story about a town that finds their citizens falling in and out of love in the strangest ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. Love is lost, found, and confounded. And life for the people of Almost, Maine will never be the same.  It promises to be lots of fun!  Visit to get tickets.

Fuquay-Varina Night Out

On Friday, October 17 from 4:00-6:30 pm, residents are asked to lock their doors, turn on the outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors at W. Jones Street Park as the F-V Police Department hosts the first Fuquay-Varina Night Out.  This event is like a National Night Out Block Party, but with a local twist – we are having it in the fall when it’s cooler and on a Wake County School early release day!


Join us a fun evening to strengthen our neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. Meet your local police officers, free food, bouncy house and lots of information!  More information!


Haunted Trail

Saturday, October 18, Family Fright:  5-6 pm; Full Fright: 7-9 pm

Carroll Howard Johnson Environmental Education Park, 301 Wagstaff Road

There’s nothing like a good fright and apparently lots of people agree!  Last year, the Parks & Recreation Department hosted the second Haunted Trail and more than 600 people attended, so we’re doing it again!  This year’s Haunted Trail will be on Saturday, October 18 at Carroll Howard Johnson Environmental Education Park (CHEEP) located at 301 Wagstaff Road.

Family Fright, appropriate for families with younger children, will be from 5-6 pm.   Full Fright, which will be scarier, will take place from 7-9 pm.  Everyone is invited to attend.  The Haunted Trail is free, but please note there will be scary stuff, so enter at your own risk!  This is an outdoor activity with low lighting so remember to wear appropriate shoes, preferably tennis shoes and dress for the weather. 


We are looking for volunteer actors and guides.  This is a great opportunity for teens!   There will be a volunteer meeting on Monday, September 22 at 7 pm at the F-V Community Center.  Come and be a part of the fun!


Trick or Treat in Downtown

The 12th annual Day in Downtown Festival, organized by the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce, will be held Saturday, November 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm in the historic downtown Fuquay.  The event includes live dance and music demonstrations, a juried arts and crafts fair, a beer and wine festival, and a food truck rodeo. Bentwinds Country Club

The Tee-Off for the Troops Golf Classic, held in recognition of Veterans Day, has a twofold goal—to recognize and honor our veterans, and to raise funds that enable Military Missions in Action (MMIA) to complete its projects and programs that support veterans with disabilities as well as active-duty veterans.


In just five years, tournament participation has grown from 118 players to 300 players, and has become Bentwinds Country Club’s premiere tournament.   Find out how to participate!
